The Book Club – Shoreditch

Bookclub is great on all accounts (apart from the fact they stop serving coffee at 6 but that’s ok). As you can see it’s plenty spacious and they serve food throughout the day. It’s pretty varied, breakfast is the best in my opinion as you can get everything from a full English to pancakes with maple syrup to granola with yogurt and fruit, yum. They make a good effort with lunch too such as breaded cod fillet burger with beef tomato, salad & homemade tartare sauce served with twice cooked fat chips. Dinner is more platters to share type stuff as I guess it’s more of a bar than a restaurant in the evening so along with a good selection of light bites they keep it pretty informal, the food is all mouth watering stuff. It’s also popular because they have a pingpong table and like foosball people love pingpong don’t they. It definitely has a young clientele which I noticed when I came here with my mum. We left as it was a bit hectic but to be fair it was 7pm and that’s the case for most places in Shoreditch.
