Modern Pantry – Clerkenwell

modern5

I’m on a bit of a Clerkenwell buzz at the moment as it’s cafe heaven. Modern Pantry serves great food all day and it’s great to go for a coffee (in theory as my hot chocolate was the most expensive I have had anywhere ever at £3.71 – if they knocked £1 off that I would go a lot more often) and all the pastries were fresh out the oven and smelled delicious. It’s a lovely looking place, very peaceful and bright as everything is simple and white yet it’s not at all stark. When I asked to take a few photos the very nice waiter gave me a tour of the whole place showing me an upstairs dining room and a private dining room for parties. Round the back they have a farm shop which is a nice touch, I can never get enough of farm shops, I love the idea of them although I still don’t have much choice but to shop at Lidl.
