The Willow Shoreditch

On one of London’s more authentic East End streets, a stone’s throw from Shoreditch and nestled between a chicken shop and a newsagents, is the most stylish florist cum café you will ever hope to find. With a background of 10 years working with the likes of Alexander McQueen and Christian Louboutin, the Willow’s owner knows what ‘chic’ should look like. The shop is divided into two halves, “flowers at the front, food at the back and things in between”. All the food, the delicious salads and cakes are made fresh that morning. The elegant interior, comprised of reclaimed can you buy diazepam over counter wood and quirky furniture was done on a shoe string with friends helping create it. This included my old flatmate Gregg who painted the large wall piece. Gregg studied fashion at CSM and used to dye things all the time. One day I had just finished repainting the kitchen white, when he walked in with a saucepan full of blue dye and accidentally dropped it on the floor. After graduating he went to work for Givenchy in Paris, sometimes there is no justice.
