Primrose Bakery – Primrose Hill

When it comes to cupcakes I tend to roll my eyes a bit as it’s been worked to death and let’s face it, although they look cute and innocent it’s just a handful of heart attack isn’t it? Having said all that, my lovely friend arranged a surprise party for me at my favourite restaurant LMNT and my best friend got a giant red velvet gluten free (I was currently on one of my weird diets) cupcake from the Primrose Bakery (Andriani it doesn’t escape my notice how much that cake cost ). I don’t know how to say it, this cake was unfuckingbelievable!! It was the single most delicious cake I have ever had in my life. The cakes at the Primrose bakery are worth getting fat over, I promise. On a sunny day it’s a nice trip up to Primrose Hill for a cup of tea and a cupcake. Half 50′s tea room half old fashioned sweet shop, the American retro furniture and cabinet of cakes including cupcakes of every kind, Victoria sponge cake and raspberry coconut cake make it a little haven for all those who put food before fashion. Melrose and Morgan, the chichi deli across the road is worth a mention. You can fill up on a hearty sandwich filled with delicious chutney and dead animal of choice before going across the road to stuff your face with cake. Nearby Primrose Hill has spectacular views of London and is one of the nicest parks in the city too.
