Maison d’etre – Highbury and Islington

maison2

I hate public transport at rush hour so I always cycle whatever the weather. I discovered Maison d’etre as I used to park my bike outside on my way to work and would look in the window wishing that I could just pop in there instead. It’s a really cute little cafe with a counter full of croissants and pastries and a great little outdoor area out the back. It’s on a very busy junction by Highbury and Islington station so attracts quite a few passer-bys but they still have a good sense of individuality and manage to be homely all the same.
