Long White Cloud – Hackney

cloud6

There is something about Long White Cloud which feels different for Hackney. There are no push chairs which is weird, every nice café in Hackney is rammed with push chairs and the decoration is a bit eccentric. On top of that it feels exceptionally laid back, no immaculate piles of fancy cupcakes or cakes on glass stands, the food is pretty much just ready to be eaten not just admired. It’s run by New Zealanders (hence the meaning behind the Maori name, Aotearoa for New Zealand) who walk about singing out loud like it’s there own living room, this is why I like it though, it’s nice and comfortable with good hearty food, oh and to all Kiwi’s reading this, they sell all your weird candy you love with ridiculous names, squiggles (seriously?) Tim tams, Pinky’s and Jetplanes, I know how one can miss these things.
