Bumpkin – Notting HIll

Bumpkin is good old favourite of mine and I think it’s safe to say that it’s a Notting Hill institution. The food is consistently great and you’ll find it’s frequented by wealthy regulars on a consistent basis. They source everything from the British Isles and keep the menu simple yet substantial. The atmosphere is that of a confident restaurant that’s been getting it right for years. It’s perhaps on the pricey side but that’s only because you are getting the best ingredients. At weekends they do a delicious brunch, my favourite being pancakes with freshly made banana ice cream, bananas and honey, but they do all the classics too, like bacon with bubble and squeak and a full English all with a posh twist of course. Dinner and lunch is divided into categories, “from the British Shores, Fields, Garden” etc.. with some great pies too. This is definitely a restaurant where everyone will be happy.
